On May 18, 2024, disaster recovery testing of trading and clearing systems and subsystems of the stock, money, derivatives and foreign exchange markets of the Moscow Exchange will take place.
The purpose of such testing is to verify the switching of all systems and users to work with the backup exchange data center.
Approximate testing schedule:
Part I. Beginning of the trading day in the Main Data Center:
10:00 – 10:30 – Connecting participants to trading and clearing systems. 10:30 – 11:30 – test trading on all markets. 11:50 – Emulation of a main data center failure: disabling external network access to the data center and network connectivity between data centers 12:00 – Complete shutdown of the Main data center.
Part II. Continuation of trading in the backup data center:
12:30 – 13:00 – Connection of participants to the backup data center (at this stage, connection from colocation to DSP and via ConnectME with a termination point in DSP will not be available, connection to FIFO Twime ASTS services will also not be available). 13:00 – 14:00 – Continuation of trading on all markets, the Backup data center is working, the Main data center is unavailable. 14:00 – End of trading at the Reserve Data Center.
Part III. Returning the configuration to normal industrial mode:
15:00 – 17:00 – Technological break. 17:00 – 18:00 – Participants check the ability to connect to systems in all data centers and according to all connection schemes, including colocation. End of testing.
To participate in testing, please send your application to:help@moex.com, which should indicate:
Contact person responsible for testing. For the derivatives market: Broker Login and section from which tests will be carried out IP address from which access will be made
For derivatives market logins who have applied for participation, the password for Plaza2 gateways and terminals will be changed to 12345 during the tests. Please make the appropriate changes to the client_router.ini file during testing and return to the combat password after the tests are completed.
For stock, foreign exchange, money markets: User IDs. The IP address from which access will be carried out if it differs from the current “combat” address for the declared user identifiers.
If you do not plan to participate in testing, we ask you to disconnect gateways and terminals from trading systems to avoid loading test data.
Please note that during testing there may be interruptions in the availability of the exchange’s web systems, including the website (www.moex.com), information and statistical server (iss.moex.com), FTP server, over-the-counter reporting service (OTS).
