Under the “Land for Tourism” project, which has been implemented by Rosreestr since 2022, 669 land plots and territories have been identified. Their total area is more than 6,106 hectares, said Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

“The “Land for Tourism” project is a dynamically developing service that is aimed at involving land in circulation for the creation of tourist facilities. Since the beginning of this year alone, 38 sites with an area of 272.08 hectares have been identified for the creation of tourist facilities, as well as 493 sites of tourist interest. The register includes national parks, nature reserves, architectural monuments and other objects, as well as territories located nearby. It is important that Rosreestr does not just create a bank of land plots, but works to involve them in circulation. 38 plots and territories with an area of 171.7 hectares have already been provided to interested parties for use. The project contributes to the development of domestic tourism and provision of quality recreation for Russians, and also generally affects the growth of the country’s economy,” said Marat Khusnullin.

The “Land for Tourism” project is being implemented by decision of the Government Commission for Regional Development. To date, 48 subjects have already become its participants. Work within the framework of the project is carried out in close cooperation with the heads of regions.

“By the end of 2024, we plan to increase the number of regions involved in the project to 60, and relevant agreements will be concluded with them. Currently, as part of the “Land for Tourism” service, the public cadastral map contains information about 564 vacant plots with a total area of 5143.06 hectares. Anyone, including potential investors, can obtain information about vacant plots and apply for them,” said Oleg Skufinsky, head of Rosreestr.

The largest number of land plots possible for involvement in tourism activities was identified in the Volga Federal District – 186 plots with a total area of 1824 hectares. Here, the leaders were the Republic of Bashkortostan (13 plots with an area of 615 hectares), the Saratov region (31 plots with an area of 300 hectares) and the Samara region (32 plots with an area of 257 hectares).

In second place is the Northwestern Federal District (56 plots with an area of 1252 hectares), among the leaders are the Republic of Karelia (20 plots with an area of 874 hectares) and the Leningrad Region (12 plots with an area of 265 hectares).

In third place is the Siberian Federal District (120 plots with an area of 938 hectares). The best indicators are in the Novosibirsk region (15 plots with an area of 336 hectares) and the Altai Territory (25 plots with an area of 244 hectares).

In terms of the number of identified objects of tourist interest, the leaders are the Novosibirsk region (50), the Republic of Dagestan (40), the Sakhalin (35), Chelyabinsk (29) regions and the Perm Territory (26).

The search for suitable territories in the regions is carried out by operational headquarters, they also analyze the potential of these territories and develop strategies to improve the use of land. The headquarters include representatives of the territorial departments of Rosreestr, branches of the Roskadastr PPK, regional authorities and the professional community.
