As part of Canada’s Indo-Pacific Strategy, the Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development, the Honorable Mary Ng, will lead the Team Canada trade mission to South Korea, from April 21 to 25, 2024.
Minister Ng will be joined by a diverse group of more than 240 people from more than 160 Canadian companies and organizations.
The trade mission will allow them to explore export opportunities in the Indo-Pacific region and establish strong connections with business partners and potential customers. Additionally, participants will learn how to take advantage of the Canada-Korea Free Trade Agreement (CCFTA), which allows 99% of Canadian exports to South Korea to qualify for duty-free access. . The trade mission will provide businesses already present in South Korea with new opportunities for expansion and growth.
As part of this trade mission, Minister Ng will visit South Korean businesses to promote Canada as a great place for businesses to invest and grow. She will also meet her South Korean counterparts to promote more sustainable and inclusive trade that benefits everyone.
