Ottawa, Ontario – April 18, 2024 – Media representatives are asked to note that the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, the Honorable Steven Guilbeault, will participate in several meetings on the sidelines of the fourth session of the Intergovernmental Committee on negotiation (CIN-4).
From April 23 to 29, 2024, Canada will welcome the world to Ottawa for this fourth session, where negotiations will continue to establish the first-ever agreement to curb plastic pollution by 2040.
High-level sessions hosted by Canada in partnership with the World Wide Fund for Nature on April 21 and 22 will kick off.
