SHAKOPEE, MN – U.S. Representative Angie Craig secured $1 million in federal funding for the City of Shakopee to construct the Regional Innovation Hub, a state-of-the-art facility that will boost workforce development and expand support for entrepreneurs in the South Metro.
Rep. Craig worked with local leaders to secure this funding in order to promote economic development and help create good-paying jobs for Minnesotans.
“Building an economy that works for everyday Minnesotans starts with investing in Minnesota’s workforce and local businesses. That’s why I pushed to secure this funding to help build the Shakopee Regional Innovation Hub, a facility that will expand the number of employment and economic development opportunities available to Minnesotans,” said Rep. Craig.
Once constructed, the Shakopee Regional Innovation Hub will provide training spaces for local businesses, critical resources for Minnesota’s growing entrepreneurial network and makerspaces for manufacturing companies.
