The Royal Military College of Canada (RMC) finished in 2nd place at the 57th Sandhurst Military Skills Competition, held at the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point. This annual competition took place last Friday and Saturday between 48 teams from 15 different countries.
The competition, which lasts two days, typically includes navigation of some 43 km over rugged terrain, weapons handling, marksmanship, combat swimming (in full gear), trauma care/first aid, problem solving and leadership tests .
Military academies from around the world are invited each year to participate in the prestigious competition, which began in 1967. CMR has carved out an exemplary path in this competition, winning four times since 2006.
