A murder investigation has been launched following a stabbing in Waltham Forest.
Police were called at about 23:15hrs on Thursday, 18 April to South Birkbeck Road, E11 following reports of a fight.
Officers attended and found a man suffering stab injuries. They provided emergency first aid alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service. Despite their efforts, the man, who is believed to be in his 30s, sadly died at the scene.
His next of kin are yet to be informed.
A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
A crime scene remains in place.
One man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. He has been taken to an east London police station where he remains in custody.
