During a working trip to the Donetsk People’s Republic, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin assessed the pace and quality of work on repairing the housing stock, restoring healthcare institutions and social facilities, and also held a meeting on the socio-economic development of the DPR.

“In the intensive care hospital – the largest in Mariupol – the clinic building, blood transfusion station and administration were renovated. By June 1, work will be completed in one of the three hospital buildings: the first two floors have already been transferred to the hospital, the builders promise to transfer four more in a week,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.

Then the Deputy Chairman of the Government, together with the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin, took part in the opening of the Oreshek kindergarten, designed for 110 children. This object was restored by builders from the Moscow region.

Also, as part of a working trip to Mariupol, Marat Khusnullin got acquainted with the progress of the second stage of improvement of the Primorsky Park and inspected multi-storey buildings, which were initially planned to be demolished two years ago.

“In the end, we decided to support the city’s initiative and restore not only the buildings themselves, but also the damaged apartments in them with the help of the “Single Customer”. Work is currently underway in 200 houses, and in two dozen houses it has already been completed. I went into one of the finished apartments. I can say that the renovation was done with dignity,” he commented.

During the meeting chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister, key areas of socio-economic development of the DPR were discussed. In particular, issues of comprehensive modernization of the heat supply system of Mariupol were discussed.

As Ilshat Shagiakhmetov, general director of the Territorial Development Fund, said, the city is currently repairing almost 16.4 km of heating networks under the program of special treasury loans, the operator of which is the FRT, and will also begin replacing 13.2 km of main lines in the near future. water pipelines.

“In order to minimize heat losses when delivering coolant to consumers and increase the efficiency of the entire city’s heat supply system, we are putting in order the heating networks of those boiler houses that have either already been restored under the control of the fund, or the modernization of the internal equipment, including boilers, will be completed soon. As a result of this large-scale work, by the beginning of the next autumn-winter period, the quality of this public service will be improved for more than 205 thousand residents,” noted Ilshat Shagiakhmetov.

In addition, this year in Mariupol it is planned to repair another 35 km of city roads, 1.5 thousand facades and 150 courtyards. The work is carried out comprehensively, in close cooperation between regional bosses, federal customers and the regional administration.

As Marat Khusnullin noted at the meeting, one of the most important tasks is to restore the activities of enterprises.

“Without this, economic development is impossible, and people need stable work. I stopped by the Donetsk Metallurgical Plant, which was founded in 1872. The history of the founding of the city is largely connected with its launch. I got acquainted with the work, toured one of the workshops of the enterprise, and discussed development issues,” emphasized Marat Khusnullin.

Also, the task of reviving the economic and industrial potential of new regions is solved by providing benefits and preferences to enterprises participating in the free economic zone. In total, there are already 36 companies from the DPR in the SEZ register. They will provide jobs for almost 19 thousand people, including creating more than 3.6 thousand new jobs.
