Ramona – On August 24, Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48) joined a community-wide celebration like no other: the Ramona Rodeo. This annual gathering is a celebration of the city’s indomitable Western heritage and the unique character of rodeo.
Congressman Issa toured the festival grounds and participated in festivities with event vendors, while also sharing with attendees his ongoing efforts to protect and honor rodeo.
“The Ramona Rodeo has an energy and excitement all its own, and Chris Anderson and the entire Ramona team demonstrated once again their uncommon ability to bring our community together and put on a great show. I am grateful to be their partner as we work to preserve this beloved tradition. This was not my first visit, and it won’t be my last,” said Issa.
Congressman Issa has long been a champion of rodeo, founding and chairing the Congressional Rodeo Caucus and introducing legislation acknowledging the contributions rodeo makes to communities, local economies, and the preservation of Western culture.
