Neuchâtel, 03.09.2024 – In 2022, 83% of the Swiss population aged 15 and over drank alcohol. This proportion has remained stable since 1992. On the other hand, the share of daily alcohol consumers has fallen from 20% to 9% over the last 30 years. Occasional drunkenness at least once a month is more common among young men aged 15 to 24 (31%) and daily alcohol consumption is more common among men aged 65 and over (31%). These are some of the results of the new publication by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) on alcohol consumption.
