Financial support for the filming of diploma films applies to full-length, documentary and animated films.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that VGIK has always been with the country. And today its representatives capture important facts from the lives of the heroes of the special military operation. Students and teachers have made 12 films on the topic of the SVO. Students actively participate in the volunteer movement, and travel to different regions of the country with patriotic concerts.

“First-year students, you are absolutely lucky. I wish that your years of study at VGIK were among the happiest for you, that something truly talented would be born here despite all the difficulties and creative unions would appear. And for those who will soon graduate, I will say that you are sorely missed on film sets: both those who write wonderful texts and those who will produce ideas,” said the Minister of Culture.

The head of the Ministry of Culture signed an order to amend the VGIK charter, according to which the Institute of Animation and Digital Technologies, as well as the Research Institute of Cinematography and Film Education will appear in the structure of the university.

The Institute of Animation and Digital Technologies will train specialists in the field of digital arts using artificial intelligence and image generation using artificial neural networks. This year, the first recruitment for the new direction “Directing Interactive Media and Holography” has already taken place.
