Rosneft financed the reconstruction of the main comprehensive school No. 28 and the secondary comprehensive school No. 29 in Syzran. The large-scale renovation of educational institutions was carried out within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement between PJSC NK Rosneft and the Government of the Samara Region.
Rosneft takes an active part in the socio-economic development of the regions where it operates. Thanks to the Company’s support, a number of large social projects have been implemented in the Samara Region.
School No. 28 underwent a major overhaul for the first time in 70 years of operation. The building for 440 students had its roof, windows and doors completely replaced, the unique stucco and frescoes on the façade were restored, utility networks were updated, stairwells were reinforced, fire alarms and video surveillance were installed – both in the institution itself and on its territory. In addition, classrooms, a canteen, a cloakroom were updated, and conditions were created for comfortable movement of people with limited mobility.
The Company also financed large-scale improvement works in the surrounding area. In particular, a universal playground for team sports was equipped for students and residents of nearby areas, and outdoor exercise machines were installed.
The reconstruction of the middle and senior levels of the secondary comprehensive school No. 29 was also completed using the Company’s funds. All utility networks were updated in the building, a fire alarm and video surveillance systems were installed, and the façade was updated. The renovation allowed for an increase in the area of educational and auxiliary premises. The sports hall was completely reconstructed.
As a result of a comprehensive overhaul, the building of the middle and senior levels, as well as the elementary school building, which was reconstructed with Rosneft funds last year, formed a single, well-appointed space.
The reconstruction of schools No. 28 and 29 made it possible to create comfortable conditions for children’s education and increase the efficiency of the implementation of state educational programs.

The cooperation agreement between the Samara Region and PJSC NK Rosneft has been in effect since 2014. Within the framework of the agreement, measures are being implemented to address priority tasks of socio-economic development of the territories. Thanks to the Company’s support, a number of large social projects have been implemented in the region: educational institutions have been built or reconstructed in several cities and districts, ice palaces have been erected, a new swimming complex has been opened in Samara, a cultural center has been reconstructed, and a major overhaul of a polyclinic has been carried out in the city of Syzran.
