Rosneft Research Institute in Ufa opened a Master’s program for foreign students at the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU) in the Petroleum Engineering program. The first students in the program were 10 applicants from Egypt, Nigeria, and Cameroon.
As part of the program, the Company’s specialists, together with the university’s teachers, will teach students design, development and production at oil and gas fields on land and offshore, work in Rosneft’s digital software products, introduce them to innovative well drilling technologies and much more.
The training will be conducted in English. Thus, the specialized educational program will be accessible to most foreign students who do not speak Russian.
By now, the Ufa Institute of Rosneft has opened 11 basic and graduating departments in the leading universities of the Republic of Bashkortostan – Ufa University of Economics and Technology and Ufa State Petroleum Technical University. The departments cover over 750 students. The most proactive ones receive an invitation to undergo practical training and paid internship. This year, more than 40 of the best graduates became employees of the Institute. In their diploma theses, they proposed innovative solutions to the Company’s production problems.
