On Knowledge Day, the winners of the All-Russian competition “Golden Names of Higher School” 2024 were announced, among whom was the adviser to the rector’s office of the State University of Management, associate professor, candidate of geographical sciences Nikolai Mikhailov.
The Golden Names of Higher Education competition has been held by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation since 2017. It is aimed at identifying and supporting talented teachers and scientists who have made a significant contribution to the development of Russian higher education and science.
According to the curator of the Competition, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Olga Petrova: “The All-Russian Competition “Golden Names of Higher Education”, which has already become a tradition and an important event for our educational environment, plays a significant role in the development of young teachers, gives them the opportunity to demonstrate their talents, ideas and achievements.”
In 2024, the Competition received applications from 1,224 teachers from 248 universities across Russia. Of the applications, 29% were from doctors of science and 59% were candidates of science. Participants competed in 10 nominations covering many areas of work of teachers: scientific, educational, practical work, educational activities, training of highly qualified personnel, winners of student Olympiads and competitions, international activities, and others. In addition, two new sub-nominations were allocated: “Academic Mentoring” and “Year of the Family. Scientific and Pedagogical Dynasties”. Most of the participants in the competition came from technical, economic, medical, pedagogical, and legal sciences.
Nikolay Mikhailov, Advisor to the Rectorate of the State University of Management, became the winner in the nomination “For Contribution to Science and Higher Education”. We congratulate Nikolay Nikolaevich on his high achievement and wish him further professional success.
The award ceremony for the winners will take place on Higher Education Teachers’ Day, November 19, within the walls of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
Let us recall that last year, Professor of the Department of Sociology, Psychology of Management and History of the State University of Management Tatyana Skripkina was included in the list of “Golden Names of the Higher School”.
