The next meeting of the working group of the Eurasian Network University (ENU) in a mixed format was held at the site of the State University of Management. The moderator of the meeting was the head of the ENU Secretariat, Vice-Rector of the State University of Management Dmitry Bryukhanov.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Aleksey Poyda, Rector of the Ural State University of Economics Yakov Silin, President of the Pridnestrovian State University named after T.G. Shevchenko Stepan Berill, First Vice-Rector of the University under the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Eurasian Economic Community Elena Lanina, Vice-Rector for Science of the Armenian State University of Economics Tatul Mkrtchyan, representatives of the Kyrgyz University of Economics named after M. Ryskulbekov: Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Relations Tamara Dzholdosheva and Deputy Director of the Department of Macroeconomic Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission Kanybek Azhekbarov, representatives of the National Research Nizhny Novgorod State University named after N.I. Lobachevsky: Vice-Rector Alexander Bedny and Deputy Vice-Rector Konstantin Kemaev, Advisor to the Rector for International Cooperation of the Belgorod State Technological University named after. Shukhova Tatyana Balabanova, representatives of the National Research University Higher School of Economics: Head of the Department for the Development of Multilateral Strategic Projects Valeria Gorbacheva and Director of the Center for Support of Multilateral Projects and Implementation of Network Programs Dmitry Kalmykov, Head of the Department of External Relations of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute Sergey Shirinsky.
As part of the agenda of the ESU working group meeting, the first speaker was the head of the ESU Secretariat. In his report, the vice-rector of the State University of Management reported on the Second Forum of the Eurasian Network University, scheduled for October 22-23, 2024, at the Belarusian State Economic University in Minsk. Then they discussed the upcoming meeting of the ESU Coordination Council, which will be held on September 11, 2024, at the National Research Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod.
The Deputy Director of the Department of Macroeconomic Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission proposed introducing the positions of Scientific Director and Secretary General of the scientific and educational consortium “Eurasian Network University” into the ESU.
Deputy Vice-Rector of Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod Konstantin Kemaev presented the results of the International Student Olympiad of the Eurasian Network University in 2024, as well as development plans for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of KEU Tamara Dzholdosheva briefly reported on the International Scientific and Practical Conference of the Eurasian Network University “Education as a Driver of Economic Growth in the Context of Eurasian Integration”, which will be held at the Kyrgyz University of Economics named after M. Ryskulbekov on September 26-27, 2024. The main goal of the conference will be to discuss the role of education in stimulating economic growth within the framework of Eurasian integration.
Applications from universities applying to join the ESU consortium were also considered. The speakers were: Head of the Department of International Relations and Academic Mobility of the Almaty Technological University Madina Aliyarova, Almaty, as well as Acting Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Volgograd State Technical University Grigory Boyko.
At the end of the meeting, the head of the ESU Secretariat brought up for discussion the issue of holding joint events of ESU member universities within the framework of ESU activity areas for the 2024-2025 academic year.
