This year, the Polytechnic University, on behalf of and with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, launched a number of projects aimed at developing the processes of modernizing engineering education at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU). We have already held project-analytical sessions and monitored the activities of KRSU, carried out an examination and modernized curricula in engineering areas of training, provided access to online courses of SPbPU for students and teachers of KRSU.
This year, 30 students from Kyrgyzstan will begin their studies at SPbPU in the format of a long-term internship within the framework of network educational programs. This event became part of an ambitious project to improve the efficiency of KRSU activities in training engineering personnel for the digital economy.
Third-year students from KRSU celebrate Knowledge Day as part of the Polytechnic student community. On the eve of the start of the new academic year, the students were greeted by employees of international services and specialized institutes of our university.
“Your arrival here is one of the stages of the implementation of cooperation between SPbPU and KRSU. You will study at the Polytechnic University for six months. We hope that you will gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills that will help you in the future. We are confident that this experience will be an important step towards your professional development and integration into the digital economy,” said Nikita Golovin, Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Department and Head of the Slavic Universities Project Office. “We strive to create favorable conditions for your education and integration into the new environment. Do not hesitate to ask questions and seek help: we are here to support you.”
Over the course of several months, the students will undergo training in nine educational programs at five institutes: Industrial and Civil Construction of Unique Buildings and Structures, Technosphere Safety, and Architectural Environment Design — Civil Engineering Institute; Electric Power Plants — Institute of Power Engineering; Computational Mechanics and Computer Engineering — Physics and Mechanical Institute; Intelligent Information Processing and Control Systems and Technology for the Development and Maintenance of High-Quality Software Products — Institute of Computer Science and Cybersecurity; Integrated Electronics and Nanoelectronics and Mobile Communication Systems — Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications.
The students were also greeted by representatives of the institutes, who told them about the specifics of the areas and opportunities for students at the university. After the general meeting, coordinators from each institute met the new students.
At the end of the event, students received information materials about the class schedule, internal regulations, and contact information for curators who will help them adapt to the new educational environment.
“This experience is a unique opportunity for you to develop and expand your horizons. You will cope with all the challenges and get unforgettable impressions,” concluded Nikita Golovin.
KRSU students thanked for the warm welcome and the opportunity to study at one of the leading technical universities in Russia. Daniel Kutmanov chose the direction “Software Engineering”.
“I was impressed by the high level of organization of work at the Polytechnic and the attentive attitude of the university staff. I am looking forward to the start of the semester so that I can quickly immerse myself in my studies,” shared Daniel.
