Dmitry Chernyshenko congratulated teachers, schoolchildren and their parents on Knowledge Day

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko congratulated teachers, schoolchildren and their parents on Knowledge Day. The Deputy Prime Minister recalled that more than 80 thousand educational institutions will open their doors in the new academic year – millions of children will go to schools, colleges and universities.

“At all stages, under the guidance of experienced teachers, schoolchildren will receive a modern, high-quality education. This is what will help achieve the national goal set by President Vladimir Putin: realizing the potential of each person, developing their talents, and raising a patriotic and socially responsible individual. Today, all measures to support and develop the educational sphere are combined into a new national project – “Youth and Children”, – said Dmitry Chernyshenko.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that the Government will continue to create and update educational infrastructure, promote early career guidance for children, and expand the Professionalism program.

“Every year, Russia has more and more opportunities for developing and supporting talents at all stages – from primary school to university. Higher education is a special pride of our country. Moscow State University, MGIMO, St. Petersburg State University, Baumanka and many other universities are the flagships of not only Russian, but also global education. We are preparing a qualified personnel reserve – in the future, this is more than 2 million specialists for key sectors of the economy,” the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

Dmitry Chernyshenko noted that school and family not only provide education, but also instill traditional spiritual and moral values, cultivate kindness and responsibility, and teach honesty and patriotism.

In conclusion, the Deputy Prime Minister wished students, teachers and parents a great mood, prosperity and great success in the new academic year.
