Deputy Secretary-General for ASEAN Political-Security Community, Dato’ Astanah Abdul Aziz, participated in the Panel 4: Back to the Future – Building Resilient Economies in the ‘Era of New Competition’, which was moderated by Senator James Paterson, Shadow Minister for Home Affairs and Shadow Minster for Cyber Security of Australia. During the discussion, DSG Dato’ Astanah, among others, highlighted that ASEAN views security in a comprehensive manner, whereby economic issues impinge on ASEAN’s sense of security. In this regard, it is important for ASEAN to remain resilient amidst various challenges that resulted from geopolitical and geostrategic development as well as from economic issues.
