120 years ago, on the initiative of the Ministries of Finance, Internal Affairs and Foreign Affairs of the Russian Empire and with the support of Nicholas II, the first state information agency was established.
The legendary TASS newsreels capture the history of our country – the events of the October Revolution, reports from the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, the first five-year plans, and Yuri Gagarin’s flight into space.
Today, the oldest news agency unites centers and bureaus in Russian regions, as well as on the International Space Station, and representative offices in 54 countries around the world.
Every day, in real time, your news feeds are published in all official languages of the UN. Thousands of messages, hundreds of photos and videos from different parts of the planet provide an objective picture of what is happening in Russia and abroad.
It is important that the agency is developing dynamically, implementing large-scale projects, is actively working to create a distribution platform for information, analytical and visual content, and is a leader in the implementation of advanced advertising technologies.
TASS’s achievements are the result of the enormous work of journalists, photo correspondents, editors, whose efficiency, reliability, accuracy and, of course, love for their work allow it to be among the leaders, the most quoted domestic media. The constant increase in your audience is a vivid example of this.
