September 1, 2024 marks the 120th anniversary of the first state news agency TASS. The organization traces its history back to the St. Petersburg Telegraph Agency, whose first working day was September 1, 1904.
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko congratulated the agency’s staff and noted that today TASS is one of the most authoritative and cited news agencies in Russia and the world.

Modern media resources and digital projects are actively developing under the TASS brand, and the agency itself is preparing to transition to a unique digital platform using artificial intelligence technologies.
“I wish all TASS employees good health, creative success, new interesting beginnings and a steady increase in the number of subscribers,” Dmitry Chernyshenko addressed the team.
