On June 17 and 18, at the Omsk Agricultural Research Center, the State University delegation took part in a working meeting of participants in a major scientific project “Ensuring the country’s food security through the creation of software and hardware systems and intelligent platform digital solutions in the development of full life cycle agro-industrial technologies.”

The project is being implemented by a formed consortium of universities and scientific organizations, which includes the State University of Management (SUM), Omsk Agrarian Research Center (Omsk ASC) and Udmurt State University (UdSU).

The meeting was attended by: representatives of the State University of Management – rector Vladimir Stroev, vice-rector Maria Karelina and researcher at the Center for Engineering Project Management Dmitry Rybakov; representatives of the Omsk ANC – director Maxim Chekusov, head of the agrotechnological center Artyom Timokhin and head of the selection and seed production center Pyotr Nikolaev; representatives of Udmurt State University – Vice-Rector for Research and Strategic Development Programs Alexander Makarov and Director of the Institute of Civil Protection Irina Bukharina; as well as the scientific director of the project, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Otari Didmanidze.

As part of the first day of the working meeting, members of the SUM research team presented the first results of the project, obtained during May and early June. Representatives of the member organizations of the scientific consortium discussed issues of interaction, detailed the tasks being solved by the teams of each of the project participants, and also learned more about the scientific, laboratory and production base of the Omsk Agricultural Research Center.

On the second day of the meeting, the delegations got acquainted with the work of the All-Russian Research Institute of Animal Brucellosis and Tuberculosis and the Siberian Poultry Research Institute, which are divisions of the Omsk ARC, and discussed the possibility of involving institutes in solving scientific and applied problems of the ongoing project. The participants also visited the Omsk Experimental Plant of Agricultural Engineering.

During the negotiations, the parties identified areas of cooperation in the field of machine-building technologies, reverse engineering, development and implementation of technological processes for applying wear-resistant coatings in order to improve the consumer properties of soil-cultivating machines produced by the plant, and discussed the prospects for creating new types of modern import-substituting products for the agricultural industry.

Let us remind you that the project is being carried out within the framework of a grant from the Russian Ministry of Education and Science for carrying out large scientific projects in priority areas of scientific and technological development in 2024-2026.
