WASHINGTON D.C. – Today, Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) released the following statement on signing a discharge petition to bring the Right to Contraception Act to the Floor for a vote.

“With reproductive rights under attack across the nation, Congress has a responsibility to act. Instead, Americans are watching Republicans fail to defend Americans’ basic health and privacy. It’s been nearly two years since I first voted with House Democrats to pass the Right to Contraception Act in the wake of the destructive Dobbs decision, and its protections are as necessary as ever. Today, I proudly signed my name to a discharge petition to force a vote on this critical legislation. We have an opportunity to safeguard a fundamental freedom for all Americans and I will use every tool possible in Congress to move this bill forward.”
