Muscovites and guests of the capital are invited to take an evening tour of the city on the Tatra-T2 retro tram. Passengers will see the sights from an unusual angle and learn a lot about the capital. The route was developed as part of the “Excursions in the Metro” project.

“On the instructions of Sergei Sobyanin, we continue to develop the Moscow tram – one of the most comfortable and efficient types of ground transport. For those who are interested in the history and architecture of the city, we conduct summer excursions on the Tatra-T2 retro tram,” said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport

Maxim Liksutov.

Participants of the excursion will be told about the history and architecture of several districts of the capital, about the Krutitsy Metochion, Spaso-Andronikov and Novospassky monasteries and other interesting objects.

The next trip will take place on June 21.

Muscovites are invited to take a tour on the famous retro tram

The Tatra-T2 car operated on the routes of the depot named after P.L. Apakov from 1960 to 1980. Then it was used in the same depot as a warehouse. In 1999, for the 100th anniversary of the Moscow tram, the carriage was restored.

The “Excursions in the Metro” project was relaunched last year. It includes tours of metro stations, night excursions, you can visit electric and tram depots, as well as take evening walks on retro trams. You can meet the guides, choose a suitable event and purchase tickets on the project website.
