Registration for the mentoring program for entrepreneurs from the service sector has opened. The industry stream of the program “Grow Your Business with a Mentor” is conducted by the Small Business of Moscow State Budgetary Institution (MBM).

The number of small and medium-sized enterprises providing services to the population has grown by 13 percent in the capital over the past three years to more than 180,000. The specialized stream of the IBM mentoring program will help entrepreneurs in this industry to reach the next level and scale their business.

The mentoring program for the service sector is being held for the first time. Individual entrepreneurs and representatives of companies registered in Moscow and operating in the service sector are invited to participate. It includes transport (logistics services, delivery services), household (clothing and shoe repair, workshops, beauty salons), educational (child development centers, language schools, training companies), medical (clinics, medical centers), legal services, catering, as well as enterprises in the field of sports (fitness centers, sports sections, clubs), recreation (hostels, hotels, travel companies) and entertainment (amusement parks, organizers of games, leisure activities for children and adults).

For two months, 10 mentors specializing in sales, marketing and management will work with the program participants. Under their guidance, entrepreneurs will identify their business problems and find solutions to them, as well as identify growth points to improve business performance.

The mentors of the industry stream include Ruslan Shamekho, founder and head of an IT company and business tracker, Anna Kharitonova, entrepreneur and expert in system marketing, and Oscar Khusnutdinov, founder of a digital agency.

At the first meeting, which will be held on June 25 in the business space “Meeting Point”, the participants will be introduced. Depending on their needs, entrepreneurs will be divided into groups, each of which will be assigned a mentor. It will start at 15:00.

Then entrepreneurs will meet with mentors once a week, either face-to-face or online. On the final day of the program – August 29 – 10 participants who are able to achieve turnover growth and business development indicators, including increased sales, opening new outlets and launching new products, will present their results.

Participation in the “Grow Your Business with a Mentor” program is free of charge. It is available by pre-registration, open from June 4 at IBM portal. The number of places is limited: 100 business people will be able to join the program.

The “Grow Your Business with a Mentor” program has been in place since 2021. During this time, mentors have helped about 2.5 thousand entrepreneurs. According to the results of a survey of 2023 project participants, every third entrepreneur has increased revenue and client base, and every fourth has launched a new product, while others have built promotional strategies and improved business, leadership and personal skills.
