Grand-Falls Windsor RCMP is seeking assistance from the public to identify the person responsible for stealing a quantity of cash and a cash register from the Westwood Inn yesterday.

Just before 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, police received a report from the Westwood Inn indicating that a male wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, a medical mask and a baseball hat had grabbed the cash register and ran out of the building. He is approximately 5’7″ tall. See attached stills from surveillance video.

It is believed that he got in a black or grey car, possibly Honda or Hyundai, with another person who was waiting for him. The vehicle had no license plate. The vehicle is also pictured here.

Police have exhausted local efforts to locate the suspect and vehicle and are now asking for the public’s assistance.
