Source: Deutsche Nachrichtenubitricity, provider and operator of charging solutions for electric vehicles and a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Shell group, has reached the important milestone of 200 public charging points in Le Havre Seine Métropole. The deployment follows the obtaining of a public call for tenders from the Le Havre Seine Métropole Urban Community for 534 public charging points for electric vehicles in 2022. All AC and DC charging stations are installed as part of ‘a collaboration between Shell ubitricity and Shell Recharge and can be used by all electric vehicle users. Residents and visitors can start a charge using either pay-as-you-go (no registration required) or their favorite e-mobility app/card.

Public AC fast charging stations are ideal for extended charging during longer periods of parking, such as while running errands, dining out or attending a local event. Within the Le Havre metropolis, there are currently 212 of these AC charging points with a charging capacity of up to 22 kW available. They are operated by Shell ubitricity in the following cities: Le Havre, Anglesqueville-l’Esneval, Cauville-sur-Mer, Criquetot-l’Esneval, Cuverville, Épouville, Gonfreville-l’Orcher, Harfleur, Hermeville, La Poterie-Cap -d’Antifer, Manéglise, Montivilliers, Notre-Dame-du-Bec, Octeville-sur-Mer, Pierrefiques, Rolleville, Sandouville, Sainte-Adresse, Sainneville-sur-Seine and Saint-Vincent-Cramesnil.

With DC fast charging stations with an output of up to 150 kW, residents and tourists can charge quickly with high power. This is perfect when time is limited and long distances need to be covered. Shell Recharge France operates 34 DC fast charging points in the following locations: Le Havre (Tourist Office, Rue Arthur Honegger and Rue du Chilllou), Saint Romain de Colsbosc and Criquetot-l’Esneval.

At DC fast charging stations, a digital screen guides electric vehicle drivers through the process. All AC charging stations come with a step-by-step instruction sticker.
