The Governments of the cantons of Vaud and Friborg met this Monday, November 20, 2023 within the framework of the Comptoir Broyard, symbol of the intercantonality of an entire region. The opportunity to discuss various themes of common concern, including those linked to the arrival of new combat aircraft at the Payerne air base.

At the invitation of Vaud, the Vaud and Friborg Governments took advantage of the Comptoir Broyard to hold an official meeting in a friendly setting. The objective of these intergovernmental meetings is to discuss issues concerning the two cantons, to strengthen synergies and collaborations between two cantons, particularly in Broye Vaud and Friborg.
Thus, the discussions focused on the developments planned at the Payerne air base with the arrival of new combat aircraft. The question of the imbalance between nuisances and jobs was raised on occasion, as was the procedure for putting new buildings to public inquiry which ended at the beginning of November.
