The company, a resident of the special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow, has developed sports drinks with an original recipe that are recommended for schoolchildren and young athletes, as well as adults experiencing increased physical activity. This was announced by the Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Vladislav Ovchinsky.
“The company’s products, which specialize in preventive, therapeutic and sports nutrition, are science-intensive and high-tech. The company has modern production that meets industry international standards, as well as its own scientific base. The recipe for the new product was developed jointly with the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Science “Federal Research Center for Nutrition and Biotechnology”, and, according to the conclusion of the department’s experts, the new product can be recommended as a specialized drink for young athletes aged 11 to 18 years,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky.
The new products are designed like a milkshake, but contain minimal fat and plenty of protein. They are an additional source of carbohydrates, protein, soluble dietary fiber and vitamins. They must be consumed in accordance with the program developed for individual sports. The pilot batch has already been released and is being tested by the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia.
“The company’s specialists have been developing and producing dietary and sports nutrition for more than 25 years, but this is the first time they have created a line of products for teenagers. It is approved for use from 11 years of age and has no officially confirmed analogues on the Russian market. In the special economic zone of Moscow, the enterprise produces over 50 types of products on an area of 1.2 thousand square meters. In the first quarter of 2023, the company produced 100 thousand units of the finished product, which is twice as much as in the same period last year. Over 50 jobs have been opened in high-tech production,” said Gennady Degtev, General Director of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ.
The company has developed three types of specialized nutrition for young athletes. As the manufacturer explained, each product has a state registration certificate, which confirms compliance with the safety requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union. Thus, “Junior gainer”, “Junior protein” include easily digestible whey protein, sugar with satiating characteristics that meets the energy and plastic needs of the child’s body, maltodextrin – a carbohydrate recommended for formulas in pediatrics as a source of energy, and a vitamin premix. “Hemosport” is aimed at preventing iron deficiency, which is important for teenagers, especially girls. All products contain natural ingredients that help improve athletic performance and also ensure optimal development of the growing body. Their serial production will begin in November 2023.
SEZ “Technopolis Moscow” is a territory with a special legal status, which has a preferential regime for business activities for investors. The area of six sites (“Pechatniki”, “Alabushevo”, “Mikron”, “MIET”, “Angstrem”, “Rudnevo”), which house high-tech SEZ enterprises, exceeds 275 hectares.
