This year, specialists from the municipal services complex repaired more than three thousand energy substations. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing, Communal Services and Improvement Petr Biryukov.
“This year, a total of over three thousand transformer and distribution substations were updated, which made it possible to increase the reliability of power supply to city enterprises, socially significant facilities and residential areas. We carry out such work from April to December, taking into account peak loads and holidays,” noted Petr Biryukov.
The repair program for the capital’s power substations includes a whole range of works, including high-tech ones. Within its framework, major and current repairs of power transformers, electrical equipment and grounding devices are carried out, new insulators, relay protection and automation equipment are installed.
The work also includes monitoring and bringing insulation and contact connections to standard condition, painting metal structures, and adjusting locking devices.
The uninterrupted operation of the Moscow power unit is under special control: the technical condition of the equipment is regularly checked, and if necessary, a decision is made to replace or repair it.
About 2.3 thousand power substations will be repaired in Moscow this year
