The ‘farm to fork’ strategy is one of the core components of the Green Deal: ‘The Farm to Fork Strategy is at the heart of the European Green Deal aiming to make food systems fair, healthy and environmentally-friendly.’(1) At the same time, excessive bureaucratic regulations are already making life difficult for smaller farms in particular and any additional red tape resulting from this initiative could therefore jeopardise their very existence.
