WHITE HALL, W.Va. – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) today visited the Mon Health Marion Neighborhood Hospital where she toured the facility and met with the hospital’s leadership.
“When Marion County’s only hospital closed last year, Mon Health stepped up to meet the health care needs of this community,” Senator Capito said. “Today’s visit showcased the full range of services the neighborhood hospital provides, and what it will look like in the future. I appreciate David Goldberg for hosting me today and discussing how we can continue working to bring more small-format neighborhood hospitals like Marion’s to communities across West Virginia.”
The Mon Health Marion Neighborhood Hospital will have 10 inpatient beds and will provide the community with a 24-hour emergency care unit, a full-service lab, and behavioral health services. There will be a comprehensive inpatient wing for overnight stays, on-site laboratory testing and imaging, including CT, Ultrasound and X-ray.
