The first batch of the modern small-sized robotic reconnaissance system 1K144 “Sectant” entered service with the coastal formations of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) marines.
The Sectant multimonitoring complex is a modern generation of reconnaissance and signaling systems, which is able to determine the amount of equipment and its type, the number of moving people, as well as give out the coordinates and direction of movement of objects. It can issue information, including in battle conditions, by equipping the complex with various types of sensors – seismic, magnetometric, as well as infrared devices.
“Sectarian” is also able to independently adjust to the level of background noise, is inconspicuous, all-weather and resistant to mechanical damage. The operating temperature range allows the robotic system to be operated in all climatic conditions of the Far East.
The size of the complex does not exceed 20 centimeters, the weight, depending on the configuration, ranges from 150 to 600 grams. The device is installed underground and is actually under the feet of the enemy. Information is transmitted to a portable operator console or workstation.
The Pacific Fleet marines will begin to master the new reconnaissance complex in a new training period, which starts on December 1 of this year.
