Decree of October 27, 2021 No. 1833

Export duties on aluminum alloys will be set at 0%. The resolution on this was approved by the Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The solution will strengthen the export potential of manufacturers and maintain employment at large enterprises.

It also approved a reduction in import duties on ferrosilicon – up to 5%. Earlier, a temporary duty of 15% was introduced for this alloy, but not less than $ 150 per ton, for aluminum – 15%, but not less than $ 254 per ton.

The document comes into force after 30 days and applies to legal relations that arose from October 18.

In June, the Government introduced temporary duties on the export of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The decision was dictated by an increase in world prices for metal products. Its rise in price made it difficult to implement large infrastructure projects and required additional costs for the construction of social facilities. The introduction of duties made it possible to mitigate the influence of external conditions on the domestic market.

The current decision to revise some rates was made in response to requests from industry representatives and is associated with a partial change in the situation on foreign markets.

The signed document changes Government Decree of August 30, 2013 No. 754.
