On October 25, a weekly conference call was held under the leadership of the Acting Minister of Emergencies of Russia Alexander Chupriyan.

During the meeting, it was noted that over the past week, fire and rescue units responded to more than 6.8 thousand man-made fires, volunteer fire brigades were involved in the elimination of more than 300 of them. Also, during the week, 179 hotbeds of natural fires were registered, more than 60% of them were eliminated within a day after detection. 16 hotbeds continue to operate, there is no threat to settlements. The smoldering peat bog in the south of Yekaterinburg was eliminated.

The power supply has been fully restored, disrupted by dangerous and unfavorable weather phenomena in more than 300 settlements. The movement was restored at the place where the cars left the railway in the Amur Region. In the normal mode, traffic is carried out in the Khabarovsk and Kamchatka regions, where transport restrictions were imposed on 4 sections of roads for preventive purposes. There are no flooded areas in the Leningrad Region, where 50 adjacent territories were previously flooded as a result of surges due to the rise in the water level.

More than 1.3 thousand people were assisted by specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in eliminating the consequences of more than 2 thousand road accidents. Over 160 people were rescued during the rescue and search operations.

During the reporting period, the department’s pyrotechnics discovered and neutralized more than 130 dangerous items, including 17 aerial bombs.
