On October 22, a five-day field training competition among the officers of the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s rescue forces ended in the Novosibirsk Region. Rescuers demonstrated their level of theoretical and physical training, showed themselves in first aid, military topography, as well as in handling emergency rescue tools.
According to the results of the competition, Captain Konstantin Shvab from the Siberian Rescue Center became the best officer of the EMERCOM of Russia, the second place was taken by Captain Alexander Strukov from the Ural Training Center, the honorable third place was taken by Major Dmitry Shirganov from the Kamchatka Training Center.
“One of the stages of the field training competition among officers is special training. During it, the contestants pass the theoretical and practical parts. The practice includes four standards: preparing the rescue tool for work, biting the reinforcement, cutting a metal profile and removing the victim from under a concrete slab using a jack, ”explains the competition judge Dmitry Lavrienko.
During the technical training stage, rescuers in cars and trucks demonstrated their skills in maneuvering in a confined space, building an optimal route, and carrying out prompt repair of vehicle malfunctions.
In the competition in radiation, chemical and biological protection, participants temporarily put on protective suits and gas masks, checked the environment for radiation and contamination with chemically hazardous substances with special equipment and devices. To create conditions close to a real emergency, special simulation tools were used.
The competition was attended by 12 officers representing Noginsky, Volzhsky, Amursky, Donskoy, Siberian, Kamchatsky, Nevsky, Tula, Ural rescue centers, the Ruza center for control points, the Center for high risk rescue operations “Leader” and the Academy of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia …
