Today, suppliers from all regions of Russia offer their products to Moscow customers. At the moment, their number has already reached 240 thousand.

Over the nine months of 2021, Moscow saved more than 17 percent of budget funds on purchases, which amounted to 120.8 billion rubles. This was facilitated by the use of digital technologies, clarification of customer needs and examination of initial prices, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations. Vladimir Efimov.

“It is possible to achieve significant savings in the procurement of goods and services for urban needs due to several factors. Thus, the examination of the initial maximum contract price, which is carried out at the stage of preparing the procurement, allowed to save 68.9 billion rubles from the capital’s budget, at the stage of justifying the needs, customers managed to win 1.9 billion rubles, and another 50 billion rubles – directly during competitive procedures … The number of suppliers of goods for the city is constantly growing, this increases competition during auctions and leads to a decrease in the cost of the contract, ”the deputy mayor said.

This year, tenders for the amount of 704.6 billion rubles were announced for the purchase of goods and services for urban needs.

“The verification of the validity of the stated needs is carried out for purchases with an initial price of three million rubles. The verification of the reliability of the determination of the initial price of state contracts is carried out for purchases with a price of over 10 million rubles, and for procurement contracts of state unitary enterprises, business entities – over 50 million rubles “, – explained the head Moscow City Department for Competition Policy Ivan Shcherbakov.

Today representatives of all regions of Russia offer their products to Moscow customers. At the moment, the number of suppliers has reached 240 thousand. This is more than in 2020 (205 thousand) and 2019 (160 thousand). An increase in the number of suppliers leads to an increase in competition: if in the nine months of 2019 there were on average 3.9 participants per lot, and in three quarters of last year – 4.5 participants, then in nine months of this year this figure was 4.9 participant.
