Police have arrested two men at Para Hills following a serious assault at Semaphore earlier this morning.

Just after 3am on Thursday 21 October, police responded to reports that a man had been shot at a home on Woolnough Road.

When police arrived, they discovered that two men had allegedly attended the home and assaulted and stabbed the occupant. A 22-year-old man sustained facial injuries and a laceration to his head and hand. He was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment however his injuries are not considered life threatening.

A witness heard the commotion and attempted to intervene after seeing the victim lying injured on the driveway and two men running off.

One suspect has then discharged what is believed to be a pellet gun, striking the witness in the chest and causing minor bruising. The two men have then left the scene in a vehicle.

Investigations have led police to a home at Para Hills where the suspect vehicle was located. Patrols set up cordons around the area and arrested a man shortly after.

STAR Group officers attended along with Police Negotiators and a second suspect was subsequently arrested without incident.
