Alleys, architectural installations, as well as areas for celebrations and fairs will appear here.

Landscaping work has begun at the Sokolniki station under construction on the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the metro. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Andrey Bochkarev…

“We continue work on commissioning the Sokolniki station of the north-eastern section of the BCL and have begun to improve the adjacent territory with an area of about 40 thousand square meters. From the metro station to the entrance to the Sokolniki Park, an alley will be laid, planted with linden trees and perennial plants, with flower beds-benches. Residents of the district and visitors to the park will have a comfortable public space, ”said Andrei Bochkarev.

The site will be divided into three parts: the main wide alley and two shady alleys on either side of it. The green area will be almost 2.5 thousand square meters. Barberry, as well as mountain pine, thuja and other plants will be planted here.

Five ventilation kiosks are integrated into the composition of the alley.

“Where it is impossible to carry out landscaping because of the underground utilities, architectural installations will be placed, as well as venues for celebrations and fairs will be created. To date, more than 15 percent of asphalting and street lighting have been completed within the framework of the improvement, and 12 percent of the laying of tiles, ”explained Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC.

The northeastern section of the Bolshaya Koltsevaya metro line will include six stations. Currently under construction are Maryina Roshcha, Rizhskaya and Sokolniki. Stations “Electrozavodskaya”, “Lefortovo” and “Aviamotornaya” are already open for passengers and are still operating as part of the Nekrasovskaya metro line.
