MIL-OSI Russia: Subdivisions of MTO YuVO provided the evacuation and repair of damaged equipment at the test site in the Rostov region

As part of the command post exercise (KShU), repair and restoration units of the Southern Military District (YuVO) deployed areas for the comprehensive restoration and repair of military equipment at the Kadamovsky training ground in the Rostov region.

According to the concept of the exercise, the conditional enemy put out of action several pieces of weapons and military equipment. Logistics specialists (MTO) worked out the evacuation of damaged combat vehicles under fire, and then made their repairs in the field. To create a tactical background, imitation tools were used, including smoke bombs and blank ammunition.

For the repair of equipment, the personnel used a mobile car repair workshop PARM-1, which allows for routine and medium repair of automotive equipment, as well as other special vehicles, with the help of which evacuation, assembly and dismantling, electric welding, mechanical and adjustment work was carried out.

After the restoration of the combat effectiveness of the damaged weapons and military equipment, it was promptly transferred to the units for use as intended.

The command post is attended by formations and military units of the Southern Military District, as well as units of military bases deployed in Abkhazia, Armenia, South Ossetia, as well as part of the forces of the Black Sea Fleet, the Caspian Flotilla, which will work out practical actions in the waters of the Black and Caspian Seas.

In total, about 8 thousand servicemen were involved in the command post with the associations and formations of the Southern Military District, about 350 units of weapons and military equipment from the combined-arms armies, air force and air defense formations, formations and units of the combat arms and special forces of district subordination, the forces of the Black Sea Fleet and Caspian flotilla.
