In Moscow, great attention is paid to the preservation of the historical heritage. All iconic buildings are carefully restored, trying to preserve their familiar appearance as much as possible. Over the past 10 years, restorers have saved and restored more than 1,500 monuments.

So, the historical building of the decommissioned was revived HPP-2 on the island of Balchug. The total area of ​​the four-storey complex with underground parking is over 35 thousand square meters. It houses exhibition halls, educational classes, a library, a bookstore, a cafe, a restaurant and an assembly hall with 420 seats.

In addition, it is planned to complete the restoration by 2022 of the Abrikosovs’ mansion… The famous two-story building on Malaya Krasnoselskaya Street has already changed its brick-red color to pale olive. In the future, an educational center or a training cluster for children in pastry will be created here. Work is also continuing at the Central House of Journalists on Nikitsky Boulevard. Experts carry out the work in stages, so the site is open to visitors.

VDNKh has been the largest restoration site in the city in recent years. Now work is underway in 23 pavilions. Thus, the restoration of pavilion No. 5 “Physics” (formerly “Latvian SSR”) is nearing completion, and the creation of a museum of the Olympic Committee in pavilion No. 15 “Radio electronics and communications” (former “Volga region”) continues. The main works in pavilion No. 30 “Microbiological Industry” (formerly “Oilseeds”) have been completed, preparations for the installation of the exposition of the future Biotech Museum are beginning.
