The Prime Minister, Mario Draghi, had a tête à tête this morning in Brdo with the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron. It was an opportunity for the two leaders to take stock of the issues that will be at the center of the G20 Summit in Rome later this month, including vaccines and solidarity with Africa. There is a common commitment on the part of the two countries to move forward together on these priority issues. The conference on Libya on November 12 in Paris was also discussed during the meeting. There is close coordination between Italy, France and Germany to achieve the implementation of the commitments made in Berlin and which must materialize in Paris. President Macron also took the opportunity to express his support for the Italian Government’s initiative to organize an extraordinary G20 dedicated to the Afghan crisis.
