MIL-OSI Russia: Commander of the Black Sea Fleet begins training camp with graduate officers of 2021

In Sevastopol, in the House of Officers of the Black Sea Fleet, under the leadership of the fleet commander, Admiral Igor Osipov, training began with young officers-graduates of higher military educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in 2021.

At the beginning of the training camp, the commander of the Black Sea Fleet spoke to the servicemen with a report on topics of interest to the lieutenants. At the end of the speech, Admiral Igor Osipov awarded young officers who distinguished themselves in the performance of official tasks.

In total, during the 3-day training camp, about 300 young officers will take part in demonstration events aimed at acquiring the skills of graduates to conduct combat training events and daily activities during military service.

The training of young lieutenants who have replenished the ship formations will be held on board the frigates “Admiral Makarov” and “Admiral Grigorovich”, where the flagship specialists of various combat units of the Black Sea Fleet, including navigational, mine and torpedo, electro-mechanical, radio-technical, missile weapons and communications will conduct demonstrative inspections of the material part and technical means of the ship.

Also, as part of the training camp, young lieutenants will take part in a demonstration training on the implementation of primary damage control measures, anti-submarine sabotage defense and taking stocks of fuels and lubricants on board the ship. In addition, graduate officers will study the daily routine, the organization of ship watch, care for the management of combat units and the organization of various work at height and overboard the ship.

These events are carried out with the aim of assisting in the formation of recent graduates of higher military educational institutions in positions, as well as for teaching young officers how to organize various combat training events and daily activities during military service.
