MIL OSI Translation. Government of the Republic of France statements from French to English –
Source: Republic of France in French The French Republic has published the following statement: On October 14, 2021, the Ministry of the Armed Forces is organizing a relocated press point at the Toulon naval base (Var) which will honor the Navy.
In a complex international context, the Navy operates 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, on the national territory and on all the oceans and seas of the globe. It permanently deploys around 35 buildings, at least one nuclear missile-launching submarine and five aircraft, serving the interests of France and the French. Through its action, it plays an essential role in France’s strategic autonomy: its 42,000 sailors and civilians carry out missions every day ranging from deterrence to crisis intervention. The finance bill for 2022 provides for the delivery to the French Navy of four ships, in order to meet the growing needs of the Ministry of the Armed Forces in the various areas of maritime warfare. These deliveries, made as part of the renewal of the combat fleet, are accompanied by work to consolidate or renovate the current naval combat units. At the heart of these programs, innovation is one of the pillars of the Mercator Acceleration 2021 Plan. It contributes to the development of a “Navy at the cutting edge”.
