Moscow has strengthened control over observance of the mask regime in public transport, Including surface transport and subway, the head of “Organizer of Transportation” Vladislav Sultanov said.

He added the number of identified violations of the mask mode in Moscow public transport exceeded 35 000 since the beginning of September 2021.  All controllers monitor the observance of the mask regime.

“The epidemiological situation is ambiguous, medical experts predict an increase in the incidence of COVID-19. Since the beginning of summer, we have strengthened control over the observance of antiquated measures on the territory of public transport and we are strengthening it, “ – Sultanov noted.

Passengers must wear a mask when entering public transport, and they must also masking while they are in the transport.

On July 30, 2021, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that wearing gloves in transport and public places in the capital was no longer mandatory, but masks were still required.

“Organizer of Transportation” is a multifunctional structure, which is the part of Moscow transport. The institution implements programs for the development of the urban transport system, provides control over the operation of surface public transport, fare payments, compliance with epidemiological measures in public transport.

Since 2015, the Institution has been successfully implementing an innovative project – commercial carriers operating under government contracts.

“Organizer of Transportation” takes measures to combat illegal carriers, cases of unauthorized trade and advertising in transport.
