MIL-OSI Russia: The government will allocate more than 10 billion rubles to support grain producers

MIL OSI Translation. Region: Russian Federation –

Russian regions will receive more than 10 billion rubles to support grain producers. This order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

This year, a flexible export duty on cereals began to operate in Russia. It made it possible to prevent the transfer of fluctuations in world prices to the domestic market. Thanks to the launch of this mechanism, it was also possible to accumulate additional resources to support the farmers.

The funds provided by the order will go to 62 regions. For each, the amount of funding was calculated based on the volume of products received.

Regional authorities, in turn, will transfer funds to local agricultural companies. As a result, farmers will be able to offset up to 50% of their costs for the production and sale of wheat, rye, barley and corn.

“The new mechanism of state support creates long-term and understandable conditions for the industry, increases its competitiveness, and also creates an environment for attracting additional investments. As a result, all this strengthens the food security of the country and, most importantly, allows to stabilize prices for grain products on the domestic market, ”Mikhail Mishustin emphasized at a government meeting on September 29.

The document will be published.
