Moscow kindergartens create vegetable gardens, develop non-standard thinking in children and study several foreign languages ​​with them.

Today’s kindergarten teachers learn a variety of teaching techniques and techniques. You can choose the right one for each child, and there are more than 430 thousand of them in Moscow preschool groups.

“The development of preschool education is one of the most important areas of our work in education. From an early age, vocational guidance is being carried out with preschoolers, educators help to reveal their talents. Children actively participate in the Kidskills professional skill championships and achieve great success. This early career guidance allows you to determine in advance the further trajectory of the entire educational path, ”said Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development.

On the eve of Teacher’s Day, mos.ru spoke with three teachers who were able to transform standard kindergarten activities into unique and very interesting ones for children.

Garden with beds

This is not the first year that a real vegetable garden has been growing in the kindergarten of school No. 1238. Together with the children and a colleague, it was organized by the teacher Olga Busarova. The children themselves plant seeds of vegetables and herbs, take care of the plants, harvest and arrange tastings.

It all started when the teachers noticed that the children were eating vegetables without much pleasure. They decided to discuss in groups why this was needed, and step by step began to expand the knowledge of the pupils about the beneficial properties of the products. “Many did not know what celery is, and they saw vitamins only in jars. We started talking about different foods. Some children were very surprised that french fries and burgers are not worth eating all the time. But we figured out what vitamins we need and where they are contained, ”says Olga Busarova.

The educators devoted classes on the world around them and the development of speech to these topics. The children remembered that vegetables grow in the garden, fruits and berries in the garden. “For some it was a revelation, others recalled their dachas and grandmother’s gardens,” says Olga Busarova.

The children were then asked to try to identify vegetables by touch and taste with their eyes closed. “Green onions went with a bang. Garlic and onions were more difficult, but many said they eat them because they are healthy. Parents also join us, but it is much more interesting to find out in the company of friends, ”the educator notes.

The next step was the creation of their own mini-garden: the children themselves grew seedlings and planted them next to the kindergarten. Over the summer, they managed to harvest, and in the fall, novice farmers continued to work in a group – they seriously took up the cultivation of microgreens. The guys water the small beds, monitor the water level on a bamboo mat, where kohlrabi, arugula and radishes are now growing. The plans are to grow peas, the first harvest of which is already in the queue.

This year the project was decided to be presented at the competition. KidSkills in the competence “City-farming”. “We are preparing for the championship and are starting to work with acidity regulators and fertilizers. This is a very unusual experience – children work in gloves and goggles. Understand why plants need a nutrient solution, how to prepare it, how the irrigation system works. They like such experiments very much, ”says Olga Busarova.

According to her, classes teach to think, analyze and act logically: children understand what plants need, they themselves calculate how many drops of reagent to add and what will happen after that. The teacher also noticed that when the children changed their attitude to vegetables and vitamins, they began to get sick less often.

Brainstorming for toddlers

Kindergarten school # 1476 teaches how to find non-standard solutions and move away from stereotypes. His teacher Veronika Alekseeva uses the theory of inventive problem solving (TRIZ), which was developed by the Soviet engineer Heinrich Altshuller in the middle of the last century. Today her techniques have begun to be applied in pedagogy.

The TRIZ slogan is “There is always a solution,” says Veronika Alekseeva. Through games, she teaches this to children from the age of four. Gradually, they get used to analyzing, setting goals and finding answers to questions. An adult is simply watching or directing the process.

It all starts with simple techniques: the teacher thinks of an object, for example a fruit or vegetable, and the children ask questions – they try to guess it by signs. They ask about color, shape or size – and the solution comes. “Once we played like that before class. All the children were dressed in the same uniform, and I wondered one of them. It was difficult to guess by the color of T-shirts, shorts or hair – many fit the description. But when some child thought to ask about the color of the socks, everything became clear, ”notes Veronika Alekseeva.

These techniques make it easier to learn how to formulate questions, wait, and listen to each other. This becomes especially noticeable closer to school age – then parents understand that their children think without stereotypes and offer unexpected solutions. The teacher describes the principles of TRIZ technologies in the following way: “If the task is to build a tower, but there is no constructor or cubes at hand, you can use egg cassettes. And if you need to draw something, but there is neither a pen nor a pencil, a charcoal tablet may do. “

According to Veronika Alekseeva, many teachers in their team are learning new teaching techniques. Several years ago, they decided to spend club hours together. This is the time when children are given the opportunity to move freely around the kindergarten building. Teachers choose a general topic, organize master classes, games or short cartoons on it. A child can enter any group, music or sports hall where such stations operate. Children get to know each other, take care of the younger ones and share their impressions of what they saw. So far, due to the epidemiological situation, club hours are not being held.

Kindergarten for polyglots

And in the kindergarten of school No. 1770, from the age of three, they begin to speak foreign languages. Educators here, in addition to preschool pedagogical education, are qualified in English, German, Spanish and other languages. During the study of new topics, foreign vocabulary is introduced along with Russian.

“For example, we study the fauna, which means we can name animals not only in Russian. Or, in a math class, you can say numbers in English. Someone is better at assimilating such material, someone is worse. We immediately see children with a talent for languages. They begin to work with teachers individually, ”says teacher Maria Povod.

According to her, many children are polyglots, they very quickly memorize first words, then phrases and sentences. “Learning languages ​​early allows them to be more sociable, develops intelligence and makes further learning easier. And then, children are simply interested in it, ”the teacher believes.

There is a language school next to the garden, where teachers and students work with the kids. From year to year, foreign speech is heard more and more in the classroom, and after graduating from the kindergarten, many of its graduates participate in school Olympiads, KidSkills championships and take prizes there.

Last year, the kindergarten classes were taught by Margarita Sorokina, a student at school 1770, who plans to become an English teacher. She presented her achievements at the championship of professional skills Abilympics and was able to win the national stage of the competition.

And also work on career guidance begins right in the kindergarten: the children are helped to find a direction in which it will be interesting for them to develop at school and after it. The educational institution participates in projects such as “Engineering class in a Moscow school” and “Medical class in a Moscow school”. “There are special game modules for this in the kindergarten. They are taught by educators, teachers, and high school students who study in specialized classes, ”says Maria Povod.
