During a tactical exercise with regiments of the 150th motorized rifle division at a combined-arms training ground in the Rostov region, for the first time, an anti-unmanned reserve was used as part of the calculations of the Tor-M1 anti-aircraft missile system and the R-934BMV automated jamming station.

In order to covertly repulse enemy air strikes in the designated area, an innovation was worked out in the action of air defense units and electronic warfare from ambushes.

The servicemen found and classified reconnaissance and strike drones of the simulated enemy flying at various altitudes, organized interaction and data transmission to the Tor-M1 complex, after which they carried out fire engagement of targets.

In total, about 4 thousand servicemen of the Southern Military District were involved in the exercises, about 350 units of military and special equipment were involved.

Bilateral battalion and regimental tactical exercises in the Southern Military District are conducted simultaneously at four training grounds in the district in the Rostov region, South Ossetia, the Chechen Republic and Crimea. About 10 thousand servicemen take part in them, about 800 pieces of weapons and equipment are involved, including tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, artillery pieces and multiple launch rocket systems. For the purpose of interspecific interaction, more than 40 aircraft and helicopters of army and operational-tactical aviation have been attracted from the association of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Southern Military District.
