At the training ground of the Ivanovo Guards airborne unit Pesochny in the Yaroslavl Region, a command post exercise with the Guards paratrooper regiment of the Ivanovo Guards airborne unit started.

As part of the first stage of the exercise, the personal regiment made a march on standard equipment, including the newly entered service units of a set of the latest BMD-4M and BTR-MDM Rakushka, from the point of permanent deployment in Ivanovo, the Pesochnoe training ground in Yaroslavskaya areas where he began to plan military operations and issues of comprehensive support.

During the exercise, the issues of transporting units in a combined way will be worked out by marching on standard equipment and landing tactical airborne units from army aviation helicopters that flew from the take-off airfield to the mission areas.

Orlan-10 unmanned aerial systems will also be widely used, with the help of which control points and launchers of tactical missile systems will be opened for their subsequent destruction by aviation and artillery.

The servicemen will operate in conditions of the use of electronic warfare and precision weapons by the enemy.

The exercise will end with a stage of live firing in the defense of the paratrooper battalion from the standard weapons of the fourth generation BMD-4M airborne assault vehicles and armored personnel carriers BTR-MDM “Shell”, as well as from small arms, flame throwers and grenade launchers.

In total, about 1000 servicemen and more than 80 units of military and special equipment of the Ivanovo Guards Parachute Regiment are involved in the exercise.
