Subdivisions of the military automobile inspection of the Northern Fleet conducted an exercise on the search and detention of a vehicle of the RF Armed Forces, hijacked by conditional saboteurs. The exercise was held in the Murmansk region in one of the military garrisons of the Northern Fleet, against the backdrop of large-scale maneuvers by the forces and troops of the fleet to ensure Russia’s security in the Arctic.

Upon receipt of information about the hijacking, officials of 255 of the Military Automobile Inspectorate (territorial) organized work according to the “Search” plan, interacted with the territorial divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and bordering territorial divisions of the military traffic inspectorates, sent out orientations, set up patrol posts.

As a result of the operational work of officials of the military traffic inspectorates, the arrest of the “hijacked” vehicle was carried out as soon as possible.

In addition, the military automobile inspections ensured the safety of road traffic during the movement of military convoys on public roads, carried out a road patrol service at round-the-clock control posts of the VAI together with the traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the areas where command and checkpoints are located.

During training events, military traffic inspectors of the Northern Fleet tested a mobile road safety complex (PC OBDD) based on a Ford-Transit minibus, which allows monitoring the movement of vehicles within a radius of up to 15 km using an unmanned aerial vehicle.

71 inspectors and more than 50 units of special automobile equipment were involved in the exercises of the Northern Fleet VAI.
