A short PSA video about FEMA’s Funeral Assistance Program related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought overwhelming grief to many people who’ve lost parents, grandparents, siblings, children, partners and friends.
Nothing can replace those we’ve lost, but the Federal Emergency Management Agency wants to help ease some of the financial burden that comes with that loss.
If you incurred COVID-19-related funeral, burial or cremation expenses on or after January 20, 2020, FEMA may be able to pay you back for some of those costs.
To apply, call FEMA at 844-684-6333. The helpline is open Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific time. Multilingual services are available. If you use a relay service, such as video relay service (VRS), captioned telephone service or others, give FEMA the number for that service.
You must be a U.S. citizen, non-citizen national or qualified alien to apply. However, there is no requirement for the deceased person to have been a U.S. citizen, non-citizen national or qualified alien.
We understand that this is a hard time.
We’re here when you’re ready.
